No, okay, it wasn't really (that) bad... But they were longing for something else. Something sweeter. Every time we left Stockholm to visit friends and family, they wanted some Swedish candy.

Sweet? Sour? Salty? Depends on who you asked. But they all wanted it, craved it.

It's not strange, if you look at it. Swedish candy stands out because of what it doesn’t contain: no GMOs, no high-fructose corn syrup, no artificial additives.

We grew up with "lördagsgodis" (candy Saturdays) and "fredagsmys"(cozy Fridays). You know what that is? Well, it’s a part of Swedish culture.

Eventually, we realized: this is something we want everyone to take part of, have a piece of.

That’s why we started Goodis – a company run by three friends who love candy. Two of us are from Sweden, one raised on it all the way from New Jersey.
